Inner Journey Gratefuls: A Moment to Pause and Reflect
At Inner Journey, we believe in pauses. Moments to breathe. To notice what’s here. From the beginning, this space was created in service: to community, to healing, to connection. And we are thankful for the community that has helped us open our doors.
We believe in pauses.
In breathing. In noticing. In giving thanks. From bare walls to a welcoming space, Inner Journey was built on trust, love, and community. As we open our doors, our hearts are full.
Gratitude, practiced daily, has been shown to support better sleep, gentler moods, deeper relationships, and even improved physical health. But more than that, it brings us back. It reminds us to notice the small things. To rest in what’s already good. To leave our fears and fight or flight responses we may feel due to a changing world. This leads to decreased cortisol in our systems and improved health.
And like all practices, it’s imperfect. Some days it’s easy. Some days it’s not. But even in the hard moments, gratitude waits—quiet, steady, ready to be remembered.
So, who are we grateful for?
To the first brave clients who trusted us in those early days and helped breathe life into this space and to the early birds, who joined our waitlist before there were chairs to sit on or art on the walls.
To our families, who painted, hauled furniture, hung art, and calmed our minds as we wondered could this work?
To Raven Consulting and Erin Atkinson, LCSW, for grounding us in values-driven work as we worked together for months before the idea even became a reality.
To Julie Gardner, our realtor and unwavering cheerleader, who helped us find and hold this beautiful space and to Jes Mullette, our bookkeeper, who brought ease and clarity to our systems just when we needed it.
To First Security Bank and MoFi, who believed in our vision and helped make this dream real with extra work on grants and loans.
To Coldwell Banker Regent Realty, Alpenglow Homecare, Montana Title & Escrow, and, 121 Psychotherapy our kind condo-mates—thank you for your patience and presence during our transformation. Nice neighbors make life easier. 121 Hickory St – go team!
To Marika Moore and Elke Govertsen for lending us art to make the space welcoming.
To Beargrass Family Medicine who as they closed their doors sold us much of their clinic furniture to help us be ready for YOU.
And so many more people that just made the last month better as we opened!
Take a moment with us—right now—and notice one thing you’re grateful for.
Say it out loud.
Write it down. Let it settle. Let it be enough.
What are you thankful for today?
